Role Overview:

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and autonomous professional to fill the role of Sales Director of Industrial Rubber Manufacturing. Supported by the Chief Commercial Officer, Executive Management and a world class technical team, you will use your entrepreneurial mindset and deep industry knowledge to take responsibility for managing the commercial functions of the defined industry vertical, including marketing, sales and strategic account management. You are a true commercial leader, business developer and sales ‘hunter’, accountable for the full set of targeted business outcomes including profit, revenue, sales growth, delivery, and customer satisfaction. You are a seasoned strategic leader with the abilities to enter in dialogue with key stakeholders and to align the visions of all relevant influencers and decision-makers. 


You must clearly and convincingly articulate the organization’s offerings and value proposition and drive a sales process based on ROI and value drivers generated through digital transformation. You will draw from your own network and experience within the Industrial Rubber vertical and make use of strong ROI based sales techniques to position our guaranteed AI solutions to Manufacturers as well as OEM’s.


Our ideal candidate should be excited about the challenge of driving the strategic and commercial elements of achieving business growth into the Industrial Rubber Manufacturing sector. You will require previous experience in managing the commercial aspects of selling either software or OEM equipment in the manufacturing sector, be energetic, outgoing, proactive, creative and have attention to detail with outstanding commercial and networking skills. This strategic role will be working very closely with the CCO and will have a strong impact on developing and realizing the global commercial strategy in line with the overall company strategy.


In this role, you will represent our company at a senior level and interact with major clients on a daily basis. Initially you will work alone within your vertical with the potential to add support resources as your business develops.The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong commercial acumen and a passion for value based sales in order to achieve success.


Ultimately, you will be measured on establishing the reputation of DataProphet within the Industrial Battery Manufacturing sector, delivering on the commercial targets and then building upon this success to build the foundations for scalable business growth. 


Roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


  • Key member of the Commercial Management Team with a focus on creating high growth and developing and executing the commercial strategy.
  • Leverage your existing network as well as DataProphet’s networks to locate business opportunities and strategic partnerships within your sector. Identify and expand the company’s footprint to unlock market share, ultimately delivering on the board-approved growth strategy. 
  • Utilize your experience and understanding of specific market dynamics and trends to accelerate our success within the competitive landscape.
  • Understand your customers’ business objectives, challenges, and issues, engage at senior level with customers to fully appreciate and understand their business challenges and objectives and translate it into competitive commercial proposals. 
  • Partner with Marketing to shape and target effective messaging, digital and event presence to build the DataProphet brand in the markets that matter. 
  • Enhance DataProphet’s reputation through professional presentation, thought leadership contributions and accepting ownership over role.
  • Provide feedback to Dataprophet on industry trends , competitor activity and other relevant areas to further strengthen our competitive position. 



Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of business experience, plus 5+ years in a Software sales environment focused on Machine Builders and/or Manufacturing verticals.Ideal experience will come from Industrial Rubber Manufacturing.


  • Strong understanding of manufacturing automation and control as well as the underlying data and integration technologies including common historian, MES, SCADA and PLC products would be advantageous.
  • Strong network of Client relationships coming from Machine Builders, Manufacturing companies, OT (AI) Software vendors or other relevant industries.
  • Growth mindset - track record of developing and adjusting a growth strategy
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships with a problem-solving attitude
  • Master in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent academic level degree
